0605: I was acknowledged/greeted for the first time. That's 25 minutes.
My visit to this WH:
0615: I finally received a cup of coffee. That's 35 minutes from the time I entered the store until I even got a drink. A few minutes later my order was taken. About 15min later, it made it to my table.
0642: I finished eating, paid, and left by 0650.
Terrible service, how do you stay in business? Tried calling to place an order, see photo, after unreasonable hold time, attempted to call back, phone was off the hook. Showed up at 9:37, three customers in the whole place, five employees standing around. Maybe is was a union brake time or something, If I was the owner, I would like to know these things.
The only worker I saw greet anyone was what I believe was the manager. She walked in from the back about halfway through my meal. My server, Damelly, said she had been working there for 3 months. That's more than long enough to learn how to do a job correctly. I did not leave a tip, for the first time ever. I believed at that point I was giving them a service by not leaving after 30 minutes.
0540: I walked in and sat in the right side corner booth. The restaurant was about half full.
Food & service was what you expect out of a Waffle House, waitress was friendly & attentive. The only problem was the cashier kept calling her co-workers 'retards', 'retarded', & 'special needs' when there was a father sitting next to the register trying to have lunch with his son whom obviously had down syndrome. She should really choose her words wisely before spouting them loud enough for the customers to hear. She apparently was more worried about cashing out & leaving than she was about anything else. Very disrespectful.
Sometimes a place like this can surprise you. Jordan was friendly, upbeat, and attentive. The food was fresh, hot, and cooked as requested.
My server, Damelly, did apologize for the wait as well as her coworkers which is why I have 2 stars instead of one. Regardless, under no circumstances should a customer not be acknowledged until 25min after arrival, and not be given a drink until 35min after arrival.
I have worked for about 4 years altogether for a chicken restaurant, as well as other customer service jobs, and a major rule is that you must immediately greet the customer upon entering the business. Not to mention it's pretty simple and general politeness.

I'm in love with this place, literally drove 2 hours just to eat at The Waffle house... We NEED one of these in Lufkin Tx
-I drove 20min there and back just to go to a WH. I've always liked WH and go there for breakfast when I can. I like the atmosphere and the customer service. However, this one had terrible customer service, as well as dirty/sticky tables.
