Been flying at Weiser for 28 years, Love it!, I use to use Northwest Flight Center when it was at Weiser, Eurgin was the owner at the time, N6542F was a Cessna 172, And 893 was a Cessna 152, 92Q was an Archer and everyone there was Super nice and friendly, Sure miss those days back then, But as things change, It makes a big different. Don't fly anymore, But I still go there and take a small lunch and just enjoy watching the planes again, At one time I used to video the take off and landings for the flight schools, Sure hope Weiser stays around for another 28 years, Seen a few crashes in my time there as well, One fatal and one Piper tomahawk ground loop, Still have the photos, We must stick together and keep business and home owners from trying to close the airport Same as West Houston Lakeside, Some of the home owners are trying to get the small airports closed down, Just like they did Andrau Airpark, But as long as I am able, I will voice my opinion, These airports we here before new housing was built, I will always support these Airports!
Started hanging out here about a year ago when i first started flying and before i noticed, i started working here at the flight school;
Weiser has the best tiedown/hangar fees in houston and the community has soo many interesting good hearted folks;
The only problem is hangars are all taken and took me a year to find one;

I started using Weiser Air Park about 2 years ago.. It's a small and can be hard to find little place, especially at night.. East West Runway thats not wide, but has some length, usually has a good crosswind that helps keeps your attention. I used it when I flew into Houston from the north to pick up my kids for weekend visitation. While Highway 6 was under construction my regular field IWS was gridlocked in traffic.. I never saw many of the line crew, I usually was in and out after hours. The BBQ place a 100 yards walk to the south is a treat. And its one of the few fields that you can park your aircraft, and walk to a restaurant, no car necessary... I enjoyed using the field, kinda surprised its still there, but it is.. It always amazes me how close they build homes in the pattern of airports. But at Weiser, their is not much room for new homes, and the older ones seem to not have any problem with the noise.. It is probably a really good place to go to flight school, with the setup as is, if you can finish your courses and get signed off at Weiser Air Park, you should be able to land and depart at about any field, anywhere.. As for the runway; land here and you can land anywhere! I am happy to have trained on weisers' "crosswind" runway
My kids and I go watch the planes take off and land. They have a nice sitting area with shade. Everyone is super nice!
Shoddy maintainence records for renting pilots. Bare bones aircraft that usually have problems. Different people at the desk every time so expectations change. Billing irregularities. I won't be renting from here ever again.
